Wednesday 1 May 2013 - St Joeseph's College, Geelong, at Lazy River Cafe, Marysville (#71)

For the second year running, Pans on Fire hosted boys from St Joseph's College Geelong when they visited Marysville for a field trip on the topic of "resilience". What better way to demonstrate the meaning of the term, than for them to meet and mingle with members of the band, especially just following the conduct of the 1st Australian Steelband Festival in Marysville.

Following a short concert from Pans on Fire (thanks, guys, for the standing ovation after Bohemian Rhapsody!), members of the band helped the boys learn a little about playing the pans. After 20-30 minutes, they were doing a great job of playing their first reggae.
