Sunday 12 May 2013 - Spirit of the Spine Book Launch, Marysville (#72)

Our last gig for the 2012-13 season brought us almost full circle back to our second gig in April 2010, when Pans on Fire played at Taggerty Hall for the initial launch of the Spirit of the Spine project. Now, three years later, Pans on Fire (with Hot Pans) played at the launch of the book that has emanated from that project, which describes how a variety of people responded to the 2009 Black Saturday bushfires.

Pans on Fire, and Hot Pans, are part of the Spirit of the Spine story, and part of that story is told in the book. The extracts below tell the Pans story from the book.
