Saturday 13 April 2013 - 1st Australian Steelband Festival, Marysville (#70)

After 18 months of preparation, the 1st Australian Steelband Festival on the weekend of 13-14 April seemed to come and go in an instant. But what an instant! A fabulous weekend was had by one and all, with all three Marysville bands playing (Pans on Fire, Hot Pans and Jammin’). Pans on Fire had the honour of taking out the Emerging Talent award in the Panorama Playoffs.

There were many visual highlights of the weekend, and the photos below of the bands were snapped by the legion of volunteer Festival photographers.
