Tuesday 29 April 2014 - Burwood East Uniting Church Workshop, El Kanah, Marysville (#90)

Grey hair was in abundance when Pans on Fire played at El Kanah Marysville, instead of their normal Tuesday night practice at the Panyard, where they also provided a workshop to a very enthusiastic audience of people from the East Burwood Uniting Church.

After they had listened to a sample of Pans of Fire songs, and some commentary from Lisa Nolte about the history and activities of the band, they joined in to learn a little reggae song on the pans. After some initial reluctance to volunteer, we soon had more than one person lined up for each set of pans. They must have enjoyed the night, since the demand for the sales of Recovery CDs afterwards was great.

During the night we also had the opportunity to make a special presentation to Peter Dickinson for his ongoing support of the band by way of providing his truck and trailer (and allowing us free rein to convert it into a float) for several Marysville Australia Day parades and most recently for the 2014 Moomba Parade in Melbourne. Thanks Dicko.
